The Archives holds a collection of recorded interviews conducted by the United Church History Seekers as part the Heritage Alive Project. In some cases, the sound quality is poor because of the original recording equipment and/or the age of the tapes. Here is what we have to date.
Making Room for Women is a coordinated effort to identify and preserve personal papers of women in The United Church of Canada, and the records of organizations in which they have participated.
An important part of this initiative is an oral history program. The national church and the conferences are now beginning to identify women who have been influential in the United Church over the past several decades, and preserving their stories.
The Rev. Sharon Copeman has been conducting interviews on behalf of BC Conference. The Archives would like to honour each one of the women who have been interviewed, and they are listed below. Some of the interviews are available here for you to enjoy.
