The GO Project - for Youth

For Youth this summer…….....THE GO PROJECT…..coming to Vancouver

This is an 11 day residential program for teens from grade 9 to 19. It offers youth the opportunity to live in community, participate in mission projects within the Vancouver area and then to reflect on their experiences individually and within the group setting.

This program has been developed by Michael Shewberg, the Youth Minister at Islington United Church in Toronto. It has run successfully in Toronto since 2007 and in Halifax last summer. This is the first summer that it will happen in Vancouver. Michael's dream is to have a site in each province in Canada so that youth from all over Canada can participate and possibly travel to other parts of the country for the experience.

This is a great opportunity for youth to serve God by serving the community, make friends with other youth who have similar interests and values, hone their leadership skills, and have a lot of fun in the summer in a Christian environment.

We are very excited to have this program at Ryerson United in Vancouver and we hope that you and your youth will consider this opportunity. The Vancouver GoProject runs from July 25- August 5. The registration fee for the 11 days is $550.00.
