Israel/Palestine Consultation
Eva Manly and Marianna Harris will be representing BC Conference at a UCC Palestine/Israel Networking Event on February 24th and 25th, 2012 in Etobicoke, Ontario. The stated goal of that event is as follows:
"In commitment and response to the Kairos Palestine and Bethlehem Calls, to consolidate the UCC network, develop and sharpen justice strategies, and strengthen advocacy to end the Israeli occupation."
As part of the preparation, Eva and Marianna have been asked to bring information about what activities are happening in BC Conference working towards peace with justice in Israel and Palestine.

Please briefly summarize the advocacy and education actions for peace with justice in Palestine and Israel happening in your Presbytery, Conference, region, or organization. For each action, please include the following information:
-
Who took the action? (e.g., congregation, presbytery, Conference, individuals, ecumenical group, interfaith, etc.)
-
What action was undertaken? (e.g. meeting with your MP, educational event, presentation, etc)
-
What were the reactions, the outcomes, or the results?
-
What were the challenges faced and how were these addressed?
This will give the group a sense of what people are doing, what is working, what isn’t working, and areas where support, ideas, affirmation, and direction may be welcome.
