From Ric Matthews (First United) re. “Share the Gold”
We have two high-profile opportunities to build momentum around the call for a comprehensive and integrated approach to addressing the needs of those at the margins of society (Homelessness, Poverty, Addiction and Mental Illness).

Ric will have an opportunity to speak at the Rally for National Housing Program at the Art Gallery on Feb 20th at noon.

We also have an opportunity to get as many people as possible to participate in a very visible and dramatic Stand in Solidarity along Hastings Street on Feb 24th at 4:45 pm. A human chain of gold (all with yellow/gold scarves) would be our final chance for a strong appeal to our leaders to Share the Gold by building off the proven capability of the Games to address real immediate local issues. Please consider giving a half an hour of your time to help build that chain of solidarity, linking our different worlds.
