- Operating account
- The main account from which monthly salaries, allocation to BC Conference, Resource Centre support, presbytery travel expenses and various other commitments are paid.
- Trust fund
- "To assist ministry or mission projects in the Surrey area or in any other area of the presbytery", this is the remnant from the closing of the Oak Avenue Mission Board. In the Fall of 2008 it was transferred in toto to Amazing Grace United Church who is exercising ministry in the north Surrey area.
- Internship fund
- students studying for ordered ministry must complete 8 months of internships away from their college
- congregations which provide the learning atmosphere pick up the costs
- an amount from the yearly operating budget of presbytery adds to the presbytery fund
- by motion to Presbytery from the Education and Student's committee, congregations can get some assistence from this fund
- YAYA moving fund
- In the event of a change in the personnel for our YAYA ministry, Presbytery is liable for moving costs of a new minister
- this amount will be held to avoid a one-time assessment to pastoral charges to pay for such a move in the future
- Lower Mainland Mission Enhancement (LMME) fund
- to compensate for lack of staff, BC Conference allows the expenditure of funds from its budget by Presbytery for mission-related projects
- for 2008 this amount is $25,000
- the terms of reference from BC Conference require Presbytery Executive consent for the release of funds
- In 2007, this was used to pay for Jane Harding's stewardship consulting to congregations, and two Meanual Section 333 reviews of pastoral charges. In 2008, this paid for a clergy retreat as well as a presbytery-wide planning consultation with Derek Evans

- Disability fund/Restorative Care Plan
- In the event of clergy disability or death, the pastoral charge is required to pay up to 6 months of salary and benefits to that person (or estate)
- this is in addition to costs of replacement staff
- this Presbytery fund is available for those pastoral charges or missions with staff who are not covered by the Restorative Care Plan
- General Council's Restorative Care Plan
- will reimburse 85% of Pensionable Earnings after a 4 week waiting period for five months
- employers will be billed 1% of Pensionable Earnings per month on the pension remittence form
- The Restorative Care plan covers only Pastoral Charge related ministry positions, ie. not Mission Units or Presbytery ministries.
- contact the treasurer for more information
- Student aid fund
- Presbytery sponsors students studying for the ordered ministry
- Covenanting service offerings go towards the Student Aid fund
- an amount from the yearly operating budget adds to the fund
- by motion to Presbytery from the Education and Student's committee goes to either students within our bounds, or to The Vancouver School of Theology
- Jubilee Loan
- In 2007, Jubilee United Pastoral Charge was loaned $4,000.
- This is part of Presbytery's support of new pastoral charges
- it is hoped that the loan can be paid back in 2008.
- Other Monies
- a 'pass-through' fund
- most recently was used to receive and then disperse funds meant for YAYA ministry from the BC Conference Van Dusen Fund, as well as to receive funds from meals at presbytery meetings and dispurse them to host cluster churches.
