Presbytery was a Success
Much was learned from The Circle Way facilitators, Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea.Their presentations grounded us in thought and deed and provided a platform for a very efficient and respectful business session.
Mardi Tindal,
Moderator of The United Church of Canada
gave generously of herself in presenting forums to the Presbytery and community of Kimberley.
She spoke passionately about the unique position the United Church is in with respect to ecology and creation. She has been engaged in placing the United Church in a right relationship of a commitment to "a covenant for healing to reconcile soul, community and creation."
In her Friday evening "Conversation with the Moderator", Mardi introduced the term, ecotone or "the transitional zone between two communities" and helped us explore how we can be engaged in bringing church and community together in many ways.
