Rev. Patricia Baker
Patricia Baker was in her mid-forties when she entered theology at the Vancouver School of Theology. That was in the late 1970s, before it became common for women to return to school and enter the ministry.
Along with Helen Hobbs and two Anglican women of similar age, she formed a supportive group that came to be known as “The Late Church Mothers” (a counterpoint to the more traditional “Early Church Fathers”).
This interview reveals the joy of a satisfying career, some of the sexism within the church, and Patricia Baker’s important role in the growth of Healing Touch ministry in BC.
