Archival Permanent Paper

PaperThe logic behind using archival permanent paper for your minutes is described in the Archives & Recordkeeping guide, Appendix B. Here’s how to order:

Purchasing In-Person from the Archives

If you are able to visit us in person, the Bob Stewart Archives keeps a supply of archival permanent paper. You may purchase it from us at a cost of $23 per package of 500 sheets. We’re selling this paper essentially at cost, as we want to ensure that the cost is as low as possible to encourage its use.

You may also order archival permanent paper through a stationery supply store. Be sure it meets the following specifications:

  • 20 lb. white paper
  • Acid-free with minimal lignin content (the package should show an infinity symbol for permanence on the end label indicating that it meets the international standard)
  • Maximum 20% post-consumer product
  • Preferably pre-punched for 3-ring binders

Accopress Binder

These should be used for a congregation’s or Presbytery’s archival copy of minutes. They are available from any office supply store. For long-term storage, the metal strip with the prongs should be removed and aluminum Chicago screws and posts inserted.

Chicago Screws and Posts

These should be used to replace the metal prongs in the ACCOPRESS binders. Because of the large quantities and cost per package, the Archives keeps a supply and will gladly take care of this once you have transferred your minutes to us. Otherwise, you can order them from:
