The Stewardship Team believes that a solid, comprehensive Stewardship program is critical to the health and sustainability of your Community of Faith. We know that Churches that regularly talk about Stewardship have more money, more volunteers, do more mission work and have more fun.
Our mandate is to promote Stewardship of God’s Gifts and Mission and Service of the United Church. We do this by promoting two-way communication, connecting with Presbyteries and Congregations, and providing educational activities with a Stewardship focus.
This active and important team reports to the Finance Council.

Jane Harding is Regional Financial Development Officer serving BC. She is your Stewardship coach and specialist.
“It’s my job to ensure a healthy and vital stewardship picture for your congregation. I assist communities of faith with stewardship education and implementation of annual stewardship programs like “Called to be the Church”.
I also work with individuals and can help you create, a personal endowment, a bequest in your will, a charitable gift annuity or any other Legacy Planned Giving gift that benefits any area of the church including your congregation. There will be absolutely no pressure if you just want to connect and ask questions. I’m here to help.”
