Rev. Dr. Janet Cawley

Janet Cawley spent her formative years in Ottawa.  After her first university degree, she worked as a civil servant in Africa for CIDA and a UN Development Program, where she was part of a Roman Catholic house church community. While in Africa, she felt called to ministry, and returned to Canada to pursue an MDiv (Queen’s) and ThD (Emmanuel).  Throughout her ministry, Janet felt called mainly to congregations in transition.  A high point of that interim ministry culminated in the Building Skills in Transitional Ministry course.  Her creative, outstanding skills as a liturgist have been shared throughout the whole church through her work on the “Celebrate God’s Presence” worship resource.
